Room 2 are the middle school at Te Mahia School. We are a class of Year 3, 4 and 5 students. Our Teacher is Miss Grover on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday our teacher is Miss O'B. We love our school - kapa haka, enviro-schools, and sports to name a few things we get up to. Please locate our individual blogs on the right hand side of this page and feel free to leave a comment. Kia ora!

Swimming - Sam
The older people in Room 2 have been trying to develop their swimming technique further. Here are some videos so we can see what we look like 3 weeks into school.
WALT - I am learning about Freestyle
Criteria…
1. Rainbow Arms, dip into the pot of gold.
2. Breathing, head comes to the side.
3. Kicking, underwater and from the hips.
We have also been trying to get better with breaststroke. We need to remember when we dive into the water, we are only allowed one underarm water movement. Our kicking can not break the water. When we finish our race, two hands have to touch the wall to signal to the timekeeper to stop. We will video ourselves with this stroke soon.
